Abies grandis

The Grand fir is the largest of all firs.  Can grow to 100-250 ft.  Roots deep and wide spreading. Sun or partial shade.  Adaptable with regard to soil.  Grown as a Christmas tree. Native to Southern British Columbia south along Pacific coast to California, also in central Idaho and eastern Oregon.  Commonly found at low elevations in the area.  Hardy to USDA Zone 4
