White fir, also commonly called Concolor Fir, is one of the most sought after evergreen trees. White Fir prefer higher altitudes and well drained soils. Concolor Firs are commonly found throughout the rocky mountains in Utah and Colorado as well as the coastal range in Oregon and California. Some concolors have more greenish needles while others can have a deep blue color. White Fir prefer dryer climates and are known to withstand heat, drought, and cold. Hardy to USDA Zone 3. Narrow pyramidal; horizontal branches with drooping lower branches.
