The columnar hornbeam is a deciduous tree that grows to a height of 30-50 feet.  Initially columnar but becomes more oval-vase shaped as it matures. Leaves evenly distributed and turn yellow in the fall.  Tolerates a variety of soils and is cold hardy to USDA Zone 4
