The Village Green Zelkova is commonly used as a substitute for elm trees. A vigorous grower to 40’ with a straight trunk and graceful vase shaped growing habit. Highly resistant to Dutch Elm disease and leaf eating beetles. Has a dark green narrow leaf that turns various shades of orange-red in the fall. Hardy to USDA Zone 4
